After some updates this (known) problem is not fixed:
In summary, the graphical user interface of firefox only opens after one of several running processes has been terminated manually. All measures such as clearing the cache etc. and others as stated in the above thread do not lead to a consistent solution.
Whether this is a libx11 problem that can be fixed with an available AUR-libx11-firefox-fix is not for me and probably some others to judge (especially since it’s more of a startup problem than a freeze). If possible I would avoid installations from the AUR.
It would be very helpful and kind if you could take a further look.
Experiences with the AUR fix would also be helpful.
Hello,
Same issue with OBS crashing with segmentation fault. Re-installation had no effect.
Are we expected to download Decklink from AUR to use OBS now? I’ve never had any Blackmagic stuff, which may be why it’s not installed.
Thanks.

Virtualbox refused to update because the AUR package virtualbox-ext-oracle is pinning the old version. You can resolve it by removing the AUR package before pacman -Syu and re-install it later.
mkinitcpio complained the consolefont, ter-124n not found. This can be solved by installing terminus-font from the main repo.
Sorry of for not being more precise but the game was running fine before the update. So I probably had all the requirements, It does need the Steam Proton experimental version though. There was a new mesa package with this update but that include a Vulkan one too? Please, how do I make a report ? Tx

I found that I “installed” a program (ng-xim) by hand years ago, unzipped from an “installation” archive.
When I deleted all the files belongs to this program, the sound is working fine after the upgrade.
On my ThinkPad T14 (AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U with Radeon Graphics; 5.15.89-1) hibernation stopped working properly after this update. It occurs in both cases: when I close the lid and when I select hibernation from the menu. In the latter case, I see that the screen goes black first. After a few seconds, keyboard light and the screen background light turn on (the screen remains empty) and they stay on. There is no reaction to any keys or key combinations. The only way to get out is to do a hard reboot. I did not find any relevant information in the log files.
My system is running Plasma + X11 + Nvidia (driver: nvidia) and I ran into both of these issues too; I fixed the obs-studio one with sudo downgrade obs-studio (29.0.0-1 => 28.1.2-2) and I fixed the vlc one with sudo downgrade libva (2.17.0-1 => 2.16.0-1).
I don’t claim to really know what’s going on, I followed some links here, learned how to downgrade and downgraded various things until I pinpointed that those two downgrades were the ones that fixed things for me.
For completeness, here’s the terminal output from when vlc was crashing:
$ vlc myvideo.mp4

[00007fe1d8007420] glconv_vaapi_x11 gl error: vaInitialize: unknown libva error
zsh: segmentation fault (core dumped) vlc myvideo.mp4
And here it is after the successful downgrade:

When obs-studio was crashing, I ran coredumpctl debug obs and found a stacktrace, here’s the important bit afaik:
