System service is apparently active with no errors, but local shares are not listed, even from localhost (i.e. smb://localhost) with the following error in Nautilus:
Failed to retrieve share list from server: Software caused connection abort
And the following one in CLI (smbclient):
Could not connect to srvsvc pipe: NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED
There is a slight issue with 5.18.14 where if my laptop sleeps and wakes up, it sometimes detects my external monitor as unknown monitor and colors become darker and resolution resets back. However, I’m noticing a little less heating and a few more FPS when playing games, so using it only for gaming currently.
Will try removing 5.17 for now, and update. If not, I’ll have to revert back to 5.17 again.
I’ve been experiencing an insidious VirtualBox failure, following a recently applied update; Win7 guest crashes persistently, at random intervals after start-up … anything from 0seconds to ~10minutes … making it effectively unusable for any serious Windows application testing.
I’m on XFCE, and kernel 5.10.131, with all currently available updates applied; (I generally apply updates as they become available, but I was away on holiday during May and early June, so the application of the 2022-05-13, (whence I believe the issue originates), and subsequent updates, was delayed until mid-June.
This issue persists through all subsequent updates, up to 2022-08-13 inclusively.
just mentionning;it’s the second time this happend lately,
updating through pamac,the download ends,i wait a few minutes and nothing happens.
i have to kill Pamac and retry the update which then recognize the already downloaded packages and proceeds to update.
this time it only updated Firefox at first and on the second(third) try the rest.
now i get a core dump each time i open firefox but it seems to work fine.

Keyboard Layout (widget) seems to be broken in plasma. When using switching policies “Desktop” or “Application”, the widget disappears from the tray on some random windows (like Firefox), even if I set the tray entry to “Always shown”. What is more, my shortcut for switching layout does not actually work any more in such a case.
Maybe related, I had to reapply CapsLock => Backspace override on upgrade. Which is relevant because my switching layout shortcut is Alt+CapsLock…
Such breakages really put a damper on ones productivity in workflows with muscle memory. I am not amused.
