New install of Manjaro here: everything works fine except that if I want to reboot or shut down my PC, I can’t. So I have to hard reboot it or shut it down by switching the power off. 
I had the well known watchdog0: watchdog did not stop! error, with an incrementing session time at the begining of it.
I studied this problem since several days, it appears that I succeed to solve the watchdog problem but I’m not sure:
- I followed this and that , I don’t have the error anymore, I don’t see anything suspicious with lsmod (see below), and cat /proc/sys/kernel/nmi_watchdog & cat /proc/sys/kernel/watchdog both return 0.
- I’m still stuck at the same moment: I still have the same screen, with what seems to be an unresponsive console (black screen with a blinking underscore). It looked like this, a bug in Plasma 6.1.5, I tried the work around (“System settings > Session > Desktop Session, [select] ‘Start with an empty session’ and reboot”), unsuccessful.
And now I don’t know what to do 
I can’t find any ressource and I doubt about the source of the issue

is the problem. Speaking from experience since i also disabled all dogs cause i wanted to shed some milliseconds from boot or shutdown. Didn’t make a difference and by definition if a dog misbehaves it will restart the machine and not block it.
