Icons missing, wrong fonts, unresponsive plasma after update

Hi folks, my problem seems very similar to this one: All desktop and menu icons missing

After a big update (yesterday), all my desktop icons are missing, fonts are wrong in some parts of the plasma UI and the system becomes unresponsive regularly (when clicking the plasma menu, for example).

Here’s a screenshot:

I have tried the same suggestions as that one post but nothing has solved my issue.

UPDATE: Looks like this is also the same problem All Icons are missing

Hello,

I would start by replacing that kernel as is EOL = End Of Life
The icons issues seems to be kind of random, but i would suggest to clean the ~/.cache folder and apply some settings in the Appearance as if you would set them the first time. Make a change, apply, set back to your favorite default and apply, log out and back in.

For me help only one solution
Downgrade kscreen and libkscreen to 5.25.1

sudo DOWNGRADE_FROM_ALA=1 downgrade kscreen libkscreen

i found this in other topic

Icons on the taskbar are not visible (drivers problem)

I too have nvidia gpu + intel gpu
I try delete cash, edit /etc/default/grub, reinstall plasma \ xorg

But now we have only 4 work way how to fix it

  1. Downgrade kscreen and libkscreen to 5.25.1<=
  2. Install Plasma LTSC
  3. When your log on in plasma, try to upload new wallper ( after logout, need do it again )
