I use Yandex disk. But I can’t find any solution on how to install the app and synchronize this in Manjaro! I see on their website that there is a solution for debian/ubuntu etc but not for manjaro! Is there any solution to this problem?
Hi @ketil!
There is a cloud application for Yandex in the AUR!:
$ pamac search yandex
[...]
yandex-cloud-bin 0.126.0-1 AUR
Yandex.Cloud CLI
[...]
So it’s quite easy to install!:
pamac build yandex-cloud-bin
Hope this helps!
Edit:
Also yandex-disk!:
pamac search yandex
[...]
yandex-disk 0.1.6.1080-2 AUR
Yandex.Disk keeps your files with you at all times.
[...]
So it’s easily installed by!:
pamac build yandex-disk
a Reminder: While use of the AUR is possible, it’s neither recommended nor supported.
…and the prerequisite reminder that use of the AUR is officially unsupported either by Manjaro or Arch;
or, in other words, if you fritz it, you fix it.
WHOOPS!
Forgot my usual disclaimer, added it now.
Thanks for thee reminder.
I install
pamac build yandex-disk
But there its is? cant find anything on main menu!
I se in pack manager that i get a new file installed but this gave me nothing!
I would recommend asking the package maintainer of yandex-disk
at the AUR (you will need to create an account to post);
The maintainer should be able to answer your queries directly.
Cheers.
It is possible that the installation wasn’t successful! There are sone prerequisites to using the AUR! Install 'em first, if you haven’t already!:
pamac install base-devel git
If, an only if there were no errors, try building it again:
pamac build yandex-disk
If you still have problems, you need to give us more to work with. Please see:
- [HowTo] Provide System Information,
- [HowTo] Post screenshots and links,
- [HowTo] Request support, and
- [HowTo] Post command output and file content as formatted text.
Please also note and heed: Forum Rules - Manjaro
Tip:
To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:
```
pasted text
```
Or three (3) tilde signs, like this:
~~~
pasted text
~~~
This will just cause it to be rendered like this:
Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.
Instead of like this:
Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.
Alternatively, paste the text you wish to format as terminal output, select all pasted text, and click the </> button on the taskbar. This will indent the whole pasted section with one TAB, causing it to render the same way as described above.
Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.
Additionally
If your language isn’t English, please prepend any and all terminal commands with LC_ALL=C
. For example:
LC_ALL=C bluetoothctl
This will just cause the terminal output to be in English, making it easier to understand and debug.
Please edit your post accordingly.
yandex-cloud-git is CLI tool - there is no launcher - only command line access
Take a look at the keyword search in AURweb
Do note that - like I linked in the other topic - that AUR is community scripts and completely unsupported.

I get the suspicion you are Russian. And if that’s correct, if I’m not mistaken @soundofthunder would be best to help you here…

Thank you, thank you thank you. I will make this solution to my Norwegian Manjaro howto Norwegian Manjaro howto
Jeg er glad for at du fant en løsning. Det eneste som gjenstår er å merke hvilket innlegg som hjalp deg som løsningen. Takk.
Jeg tror det var innlegget fra @linux-aarhus
Is there a language you don’t know?
There are many i don’t know
Byvoorbeeld hierdie een; ek is heeltemal verlore… (baby Dutch)
Wel, jy kom klaar beter reg ass ons president…
Duss ee nawt spik proppa?
Nawt et ôll.
But I suspect we have to get off the (public) line…
I have done it. But there are quite a few of them so I stuck to one of the first. But I think people need a summary and in the right order, so I’m posting this:
Open Console/Terminal and paste in the following:
pamac build yandex-cloud-bin
pamac build yandex-disk
3.
When the installation is ready, enter the following in Console/Terminal:
yandex-disk setup
4.
Just follow the description that appears in the Console/Terminal
If you are asked to enter a phone number when the website appears, click on more options. You must log in to your Yandex disk and then copy in the code that you received in Console/Terminal.
Then you go back to the Console/Terminal and answer a question.
That's all. You should then have created new directories in your file manager.
Am have try this instruktion tre times now and its perfekt.
It’s a good thing that’s not Dutch, because in Dutch, that has a very different meaning.
LOL, yes, I’m guessing that’s the same as our slang.
HINT: It’s very NSFW.
Indeed, it is.
