I just can’t update since big KDE update
After update, konsole(kde app) drops into core dumped and laptop won’t go from sleep mode
I wrote about these problems but nobody care
What I should do?
Maybe provide actionable information.
And/or consult any of the ‘how to update form the tty’ guides.
(though ‘konsole coredumps’ probably means you have local systemic problems)
How update from the tty will help me?
We had endless Topics, how to do the update the right way.
Why you didnt used the search function?
But you marked the Topic as Solved
1.Fresh start
2.Log out
3.crtl+alt+f3 to open TTY
4.sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack
5.sudo systemctl stop sddm
6.sudo pacman -Syu
and spammed Y to replace everything
7.reboot
Its possible that you run now into a regression, when you had 4 month no update but Manjaro is a rolling release.
It might not.
Why not try it, anyway, and see if it does. Yes?
Updating via a TTY (after logging out to SDDM) allows you to perform an update without the overhead of the running GUI (Plasma, etc). This can often make a difference, and is often recommended.
Is your intention to whine and rant, or do you actually need support?
If the latter, please provide sufficient information about your issue for others to understand what the problem might be. This will include system information and logs at a minimum.
Outputs from your attempted updates would also be highly useful.
If you are multibooting with Windows, please also include that information.
I notice you have dumped links to your previous posts. Those posts also provided no useful information, and if they had, it’s likely your statement at the end would have rendered the information likewise, useless:
You have created this (unecessary) new post. Please maximise its potential by including as much information as possible. If you don’t know how to do that, let’s go back to square one:
Hi @alexbespik and welcome to the Manjaro community.
My best suggestion is to detail your problem so that others can help more effectively.
As a new user, please take some time to familiarise yourself with Forum requirements; in particular, the many ways to use the forum to your benefit. To that end, some or all these links will be invaluable:

Do not overread this
- it is not offensive
- the intention is to clarify that you are providing no actionable context
- and as such the members of the forum can only
go for the

That should do it
