Did brightness depends from graphics cards?

Hi, I’ve dell precission and manjaro KDE Plasma. I use integrated Intel Corporation HD Graphics 530 but there’s NVIDIA Corporation GM107GLM [Quadro M1000M].
I set brigtness to max for intel (187) but I think it’s to low.

I wonder if changing to nvidia can allow you to increase the brightness of the screen compared to Intel?

Hi @kolo, and welcome!

In order for us or anyone for that matter, to be able to provide assistance, more information is necessary. To that end, please see:

Hope you manage!

Hello,

Seems that is the maximum for that model and you can’t bypass the iGPU. If you want to use the Quadro in some program, you have to use prime-run <application>
Yet the brightness is still managed trough the iGPU.
You might be able to make use of xbacklight -inc <number> to increase brightness and xbacklight -dec <number> and assign shortcuts to them …

So basicly it dosent matter with card did I use the brightnes will be the same?
BTW is there some soft to check screen light in NITS?
