Buzzing noise from speakers when using external sound card

Hi,
I have a very annoying issue, which I have not been able to resolve for the past couple of months.
When I use an external sound card (Audient ID4 mk.I, connected to active powered studio monitors) with my desktop, there is always a high pitched buzzing sound when playing audio. It goes a few moments after the audio stops. It could probably be a power supply issue, as the sound isn’t present in the headphone output of the sound card, however this doesn’t happen when i boot windows on the same computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @jakubmann, and welcome!

In order for us, or anyone for that matter, to be able to provide assistance, more information is necessary. To that end, please see:

Hope you manage!

Tip:

To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:

```
pasted text
```

This will just cause it to be rendered like this:

Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.

Instead of like this:

Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.

Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.

Thank you,
