Hi @Xedoes,

I must say, this is the first time I’ve heard of wireless network working and wired not. It’s also the first I’ve heard anyone preferring the wired to work instead of the wireless…

In order for us, or anyone for that matter, to be able to provide assistance, more information is necessary. To that end, please see:

Please also note and heed: Forum Rules - Manjaro

Hope you manage!

:bangbang: Tip: :bangbang:

To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:

```
pasted text
```

Or three (3) tilde signs, like this:

~~~
pasted text
~~~

This will just cause it to be rendered like this:

Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.

Instead of like this:

Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.

Alternatively, paste the text you wish to format as terminal output, select all pasted text, and click the </> button on the taskbar. This will indent the whole pasted section with one TAB, causing it to render the same way as described above.

Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.

:bangbang::bangbang: Additionally

If your language isn’t English, please prepend any and all terminal commands with LC_ALL=C. For example:

LC_ALL=C bluetoothctl

This will just cause the terminal output to be in English, making it easier to understand and debug.

Please edit your post accordingly.

yeah basicly mi wifi is not good also its loosing it in my room where i use mostly laptop cuz my walls are like thick brick and wifi is sooo slow not like cable so that why i want to use cable instead

Hey, you don’t have to justify to me, man. I’m sitting right next to my wifi router and I still prefer and use a cable…

This shows that the driver isn’t loaded for whichever reason. So, please provide the output of:

ls /etc/modprobe.d/

weird i got no output on

ls /etc/modprobe.d/

Nonono, that is normal and good. I thought there might be something blocking the driver/module from being loaded.

OK, what is the output of:

modinfo e1000e

okay cool here is an output of modinfo

Cool. What happens when you load it:

sudo modprobe -a e1000e

nothing happend in terminal

That’s good. In Linux, silence is golden, AFAIK. Please provide the output of:

inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width

…again.

I don’t know anything about this. Can’t find anything quickly. So until further notice, I’m out.

I have a HP 820G1, and inxi for my ethernet is:

This is after a fresh install of manjaro-kde-23.0.1-minimal-230911-linux65.iso and current updates, so the kernel is 6.5.3-1-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Wed Sep 13 12:21:35 UTC 2023 x86_64 GNU/Linux. Ethernet on this PC also worked perfectly when it ran the 6.1 LTS kernel.
