[Stable Update] 2021-11-19 - Kernels, Gnome 41.1, Plasma 5.23.3, Frameworks 5.88, LxQt 1.0, Xorg-Server 21.1, Mesa

Update seems to have broken my KDE Plasma themes. No custom themes installed on my system, just stock themes that came by default. I use Breeze Twilight. The scrollbars are weird as hell, not sure if this is by design or just buggy. Strange artifacts in kickoff menu and application menu. The taskbar won’t change color, even when set to default Breeze, which should make it white. I have an NVIDIA GPU and I’m using X11, not sure if that makes a difference. For now I’m reverting back with Timeshift…

Hello LordTermor, thanks for your help. All of the default themes are installed, as you can see here (currently using Breeze Twilight):

However, I’m getting strange artifacts in the kickoff menu, as well as the application menu, as you can see in the screenshots.

Additionally, this is what my desktop looks like with the Breeze theme active (note the color of the taskbar and menu remain black):

I haven’t done any customizations to my desktop theme whatsoever.

If the problem is so widely known, that met not only on forums but even on wiki (instead or alongside with bug reports on that?), then why not to integrate and to trigger whose cache cleanup operations as post-update action after every update AUTOMATICALLY???
Why to leave it as is to make users experienced such problems if problems are that much predictable so even wiki has the article?

We are writing articles of workarounds instead of fixing bugs… Such a craziness!

Yeah, it is really weird that users are expected to just “know” this. Or even have to do it at all. Manjaro is about 10 or 11 years old at this point, it’s no longer a fledgling distro only a few people use. I imagine there are hundreds of thousands of us at this point, many of whom use Manjaro specifically because they don’t want to tinker too much with their system like they would with Arch and so forth. You’d think something like this would just be built in. If it’s such a common issue that it deserves a wiki entry, why not make it happen automatically during the update? I don’t see how clearing a cache can break anything, it’s such a trivial thing, all the themes still work as expected, etc.

However, I’m thankful the solution was so simple.
