Thunderbird 115 is completely broken for me on Unstable, am I the only one? I have basically no interface, kinda, see the screenshot.
Of course trying to go back to previous version 102 is not possible the profile has been altered too much and is kinda broken now…
Lesson learned for my Thunderbird/Firefox profiles, 25+ years I think, that these profiles follow me… not the first bad situation, I always recovered, I hope I will be able again… and I will stop being a moron too and do backups of my profiles .

In the broken interface, go to HELP menu, then click TROUBLESHOOT MODE and then click RESTART.
In the restart popup, tick the two boxes to “disable all addons” (I tried that manually it didn’t work, still do it for the sake of it), and “reset toolbars and controls”, and click “Make Changes and Restart”. Enjoy.

I notice that one core of my CPU has high IO-wait operation at 100% when using Kernel 6.4.4:
Downgrade to Kernel 6.4.3 to fix the issue.

(being leveraged by akonadi because of Kalendar)
I found the process that was using a lot of IO-Wait to the CPU. It was MariaDB (11.0.2).
I use Kalendar as my Calendar program since i use KDE Plasma and this program uses Akonadi which uses MariaDB to store data on it.
Can you confirm this ?

Yes, after my investigation, it seems that Kernel 6.4.4 has the issue with running MariaDB.
- Stop or remove MariaDB to fix the issue.
OR - Downgrade Kernel to 6.4.3 to fix the issue.

I updated the current Kernel version 6.4.5-1 and 6.1.40-1 LTS , but they show the same error message of AMD GPIO driver after every boot:

I do’t find any information about which configuration “0014” is invalid?
The previous Kernels 6.4.4 and 6.1.39 do not show this error.
Check the diff of AMD GPIO between 6.1.39 vs. 6.1.4.0.

This “issue” was fixed in Kernel 6.4.6, which is tested by someone:
I tested 6.4.6 from stable with Jens’ patch applied all works fine now.
Tested kernel 6.4.6 built with the referenced patch, and the anomalous 100% cpu activity on a single core is no longer displayed in the System Monitor widget, and mpstat no longer shows >94% io-wait. So this resolves the issue for my systems.
If you didn’t figure out the problem with steam already, this is a known issue with the default steam package (not steam-native-runtime) when lib32-libgudev is installed (as required by some custom proton packages, like proton-ge-custom in the AUR).
There are a few different workarounds, but the most “correct” workaround to get the default steam package working at this time is likely installing lib32-libudev0-shim.

I considered that, but lib32-libnm has more dependencies than lib32-libudev0-shim, plus the package alone is a lot larger (1.6mb, vs the 13kb shim package). Not only that, but lib32-libudev0-shim is already a dependency of steam-native-runtime and is thus likely to already be installed on gaming systems already.
As is lib32-libnm … but sure use whatever. Though I still contend this one is better.

Until the issues withlibudev.so.0version comparison are resolved, the workaround I would suggest as most likely to be reliable is to install a 32-bitlibnm.so.0(lib32-libnmon Arch,libnm0:i386on Debian/Ubuntu, or whatever is the closest equivalent on other OSs). Having this library at the OS level has solved other Steam crashes in the past (when an older libnm has trouble talking to a new NetworkManager) so it’s a good idea in general, whether this issue is solved differently or not.

That was said much earlier in the thread when there was some less understanding … the thing I quote is from the very last message in that thread and goes to reaffirm it as the best current working solution.
I do suspect that changes in the future could create some other problem … as is the nature of things.
PSA: squashfuse 0.3.0-1 breaks AppImages:
This problem appeared in 53e1b97 when signatures of functions such as sqfs_lookup_path and sqfs_open_image got changed (new function argument added). Libappimage(both upstream and in arch repository) is compiled with squashfuse v0.2 uses old signatures which leads to segfault. So for now simply overlay with 0.2 until upstream fixed it. @Yochanan
Downgrade to 2.0 from 3.0. Users should install downgrade and then downgrade squashfuse to 2.0.
