what would be some basic steps to trouble shoot my graphics cards on my laptop ?
I have a legion 5 with a 3050 ti and i am not sure what amd apu i have.

the issue iam currently having is that i can get no video out of my external monitor.
when it’s pluged in the system settings sees the monitor but clicking the enable button does nothing.
this laptop when booted up with windows works fine no issues.

The second one should be the output for:
mhwd --listinstalled
and not,
mhwd --list
as it now, presumably mistakenly is. 
I think what might be the case is that the hdmi port is tied to the nivida card and the laptop screen is tied to the amd apu. So how might i force the use of the nivida gpu for everything ?
