you have the same errors again, so add another kernel parameter just like you added the aspm=off, add this:
radeon.runpm=0
save grub, update grub, reboot and test
this parameter disables power management on your gpu, so monitor for temperatures/overheating …
if it overheats to much remove the parameter and we try something else

Had some system updates - and after - it prompted me to upgrade to a newer kernel… I ignored it.
Currently I’m on the LTS of 5.15.72-1…
Not sure the recommended upgrade… unless you say differently I’ll leave the current kernel in place!
(should I always stick to the LTS kernels? Due to the age/type of video card in my machine?)

open this file:
kate /etc/environment
and inside it put this line:
QT_LOGGING_RULES='*=false'
save the file. this will disable the useless qt/kwin logs, so that those log output are more readable
the grub looks ok, so add again another parameters:
radeon.modeset=1 radeon.drm=1
then edit this line in grub to look like this:
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=menu
save the grub, update grub, reboot and test;
this will make your grub being shown during boot, so if for whatever reason you cant boot with these parameter, press ‘E’ in the grub menu, locate the parameters and remove them…
also install the 5.10 lts kernel from system settings/kernel, and if you have freezes with 5.15, switch to the 5.10 in grub/advanced options (dont select the fallback one), and test if you have freezes also with the 5.10;
OK - have done these - as always here is my grub (again, just to remove the possibility of my making an error):

I have noticed/wondered if some of this is related to how hot this system gets… fans are cycling on/off pretty regularly. I installed a temp monitor and will watch that and see if I see if freezes happen when the system reaches a certain temp. I’m also going to do a physical check for my fans - make sure they are physically working… and not clogged or broken.

There was another thread that seemed similar to my issue - where there is a swap issue that causes a similar freeze? Is that worth pursuing? Freezing
the grub looks ok, so test with the parameters, and yes monitor the temps and clean the fans…
the fans start to spin at around 50C, and as you mentioned they do spin, so that means they working … so at this time fancontrol si not needed, since we didnt established that the reason is overheating…
and you have 24 gb of ram, so swap is needed when you run out of ram, so that your system doesnt crash… however you have the radeon logs when the freeze happens, so its definitely not related to you running out of ram…

So here is the latest dump after a freeze. I don’t think it is temp or fan related… fan is clean and runs fine - temp was fine also when it last froze.
Is this related to Manjaro - or hardware or ?? … would a different OS distro be worth trying? (mainly as a test as I really want to stay on Manjaro)

did it also happened with the 5.10 kernel as mentioned above?
if it did, switch back to 5.15 and lets try different parameters, but first remove these:
radeon.runpm=0 radeon.modeset=1 radeon.drm=1
and replace them with this one:
radeon.dpm=0
save the grub, update grub, reboot and test…
if it again freezes, add another paramer:
radeon.hard_reset=1
again, save and update grub, reboot and test
could be a software + hardware issues, since you mention it happen only using browsers, so its possible that it would be present on other distros… lets try to fix it here, and if it doesnt work, you can then try for example manjaro xfce edition, or other non arch distro…

Since the last change (didn’t need to add this parameter yet: radeon.hard_reset=1 ) - I’ve not frozen up…
Hard to say for certain whether this has been browser based… as I spend at least 98% of my time in a browser on this device…
This machine does tend to run hot - the fan is a bit noisy and is on most of the time… as I monitor the temp it runs from 70-95c regularly…
But - it is a pretty decent workstation and with Manjaro - it will keep me from needing to buy something else!

there is another parameter that disables bidirectional application power management: radeon.bapm=0
and what were the temps before applying the parameter?
This thing has always run hot. I can’t say whether it is running hotter now or not.
Should I give that addl parameter a try? If so, add it or in place of
well if it works now with radeon.dpm=0 and the pc was running always hot, i dont see a reason for radeon.bapm=0 …
but if you want to try it out if the temps are lower with the bapm parameter you can, so in that case you replace the dpm one with the bapm one, save grub, update grub, reboot and test

No logs from the bapm freeze, I’d be very happy to change parameters to get a freeze and subsequent logs if you’d find them beneficial
