Stylus stopped working after kernel update

I’m using Manjaro on a Lenovo Yoga C940-14IIL, which has a built-in stylus. I updated the kernel to 5.15.19-1, and I found that the pen stopped working. (It either won’t charge or won’t write, I can’t tell.) This also occurs on 5.16.5-1. Is anyone else experiencing this? I couldn’t find this reported here or on the kernel bugzilla.

I didn’t report it until now because I wanted to see if it would get resolved by a newer kernel, but now the last version where the stylus works (5.14.21-2) is unsupported.

Did you try 5.10 ?

So i suggest keeping 2 kernels (at least)

  • 5.10 for working with it
  • 5.15 for trying from time to time
  • maybe 5.16 or others for experiments

And switching to 5.15 when it is ready

How can I get this information to someone who will be able to patch the issue? Just report it on the bugzilla?

I have no experience with that. :man_shrugging:
