Hi @IHATENVIDIA, and welcome!

Well, there can be many causes to this. Best would be to boot into a Live ISO environment, and from there, open this page and provide more information and, if applicable, some extra information.

I opened with live os. Now what to do? These Nvidia problems are really annoying man. Thx

How recent is the Live environment’s ISO you’re booting from?

Well it is USB that i used to install Manjaro 2 days ago. I booted from usb. It was the last version of kde manjaro when i made this usb.

There is not much you can do with the nouveau driver. It works for basic things, but since it stays always on the base cock and does not clock up for more speed, the gaming experience is very limited.

So if you want to game, then there no other way. Install the nvidia driver:

sudo mhwd --remove pci video-nvidia
sudo mhwd --install pci video-nvidia-470xx

I would suggest the 470 driver for the 10xx series, instead of the 495xx.

Error: config ‘video-nvidia’ is not installed!

I dont want to game, i want to open computer first

It would seem you’d need to boot into a live ISO environment, enter a chroot environment, an fix the drivers from there.

  1. Open a terminal and escalate it to root:
su -

If it asks you for a password, the password in the live environment is manjaro, both for the normal user, as well as root.

  1. From the escalated terminal, enter the chroot environment:
manjaro-chroot -a

Be careful: you are now root on your system, so whatever you do will effect it directly and permanently!!!

  1. In the chroot environment, install the correct drivers:
mhwd --install video-nvidia-470xx
  1. If successfull, exit the chroot environment:
exit

And reboot.

I’ll take any thanks you’re throwing around.

well… i encrypted my drive when i installed Manjaro, maybe thats why i can’t see.

I believe so.

And for that reason, I don’t think I can help you further than this. I don’t have, use or even know drive encryption…

Is there a way can i boot the pc without installing drivers?

You can always get to emergency shell. But there, I don’t know what to do, say, or hor to move on, so can’t help you, sorry!

Well then you need to decrypt like in that example:

cryptsetup open /dev/sda2 root-fs --key-file /etc/mykeyfile

and mount it:

sudo mount /dev/mapper/root-fs /mnt
sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/boot/efi

then chroot:

manjaro-chroot /mnt /bin/bash

Of course you need to adjust it to your needs. Copy&Paste will not work.

dm-crypt - ArchWiki

Add this to the kernel parameter in grub:

systemd.unit=multi-user.target

you can edit the menu entry and add this on the line which starts with linux.
You will just get a terminal like on a server setup.

grub? i can acces to terminal with alt + ctrl + f2

oh well, then…

could you check the xorg log?

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | less

Uploading goes like that (maybe easier for sharing):

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | curl -F'file=@-' https://0x0.st

Or maybe just try to start it directly:

startx /usr/bin/startplasma-x11

or like that:

sudo systemctl restart display-manager

xorg log didn’t showed anyone i mean lots of stuff like this

and i closed pc

startx /usr/bin/startplasma-x11

just send me to error, the black screen error. I already can see the kde login and passord interface at start. But when i login there is error.

sudo systemctl restart display-manager

This made show kde plasma start screen and nothing happened, same error

I honestly think i should install fresh Manjaro and use without touching driver thing or try to play games.

Honestly gaming in Linux sucks.

What error? I am sorry, without the log nobody can say anything. There can be many issues involved.

Beside that i have also a GTX 1050 ti and have no problems when playing games. Yeah sometimes it is not a out-of-the-box experience and you need to tinker. But better than nothing. Games which are officially supported for linux just work, at least my bought games.

If gaming is your main purpose to run a computer, then better stop here and install Windows.

Driver is the problem.

Error is just black screen and monitor text on middle [input not supported]
