Hi,
disabling pipewire was somehow the key. Now, sound is working and it is such a pleasure using this soundcard!
But it still had some issue to get it really working. I had to switch on off the use of different channels in the audio settings of Gnome and pavucontrol. And it inferred with alsamixer.
In alsamixer I had to turn on all surround sound outputs. Only with this combination it do work. Strange, but hey, it works.
