Hi all,
Been scratching my head for a few days over this one. I inadvertently put my machine (Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5) to sleep a few days ago and when I opened it again, everything was frozen. I turned the machine off using the power button and since then I haven’t been able to connect to wifi (no connections available). I’ve tried everything I’ve seen on the forums including disabling MAC randomization (Realtek Wifi not working rtw_8822ce - #10 by garvitjoshi9 ), installing the rtl8822ce package + headers (Wifi adapter not found RTL8821CE - #2 by Strit ), cold restart (Can't enable wifi, no connections available ) and blacklisting some other drivers (No available Wi-Fi Network Detected - #58 by ldhacker ).
Below is my output from inxi:
[stefan@stefan-81x2 ~]$ inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width

Some observations from the inxi:
Adding some swap will probably not cause the issue with sleep
According to the chip-id and the linux hardware database you are on the right track to solving this issue.
One thing to try is a LTS kernel, like 5.10 and check what that does?
Thanks for your reply Hanzel, adding the swap was a great idea. I also switched my kernel to 5.10. Below are the new outputs from inxi
. I still have no available connections, and I re-tried strategies from other posts to no avail.
