New linux user : manjaro doesn't recognize my partitions for installing

hello everyone.
i want to switch from windows to linux and i choose to dualboot with manjaro.
i dualbooted manjaro with unetbootin to drive C without dvd or usb and it booted succesfully and the problem is when i want to install it, in the part when you choose the drive partition to install, it just show windows 10 partition(47gb) and unkown(463gb) and it dosen’t show my other 3 partitions that i have in windows disk management.
i tried formating my other partition from NTFS to FAT32 or exFAT but it didn’t help.

Hi and welcome.

Is not compatible with manjaro ISO last time I checked.

Please use another method.

(If you want my preferred it is ventoy)

Welcome to the forum! :vulcan_salute:

That is not the right way of doing it. Download Ventoy for Windows, prepare a USB stick with it, and then drag & drop the Manjaro ISO into the Ventoy folder on the stick. You will then be able to boot up from it, and even add other ISOs to the folder — it gives you a menu at boot time.

GNU/Linux is a UNIX-family operating system and must not be installed on a Microsoft filesystem. It requires a filesystem with UNIX/POSIX file ownership and permissions support. Microsoft filesystems do not support that.

Since you appear to be an absolute beginner, please allow me to post a couple of useful articles and tutorials.

Can I install with dvd ?

I don’t have access to usb stick right now but I have dvd with. 4.7gb freespace . Can I use it for installing Manjaro? And how to do it?

2 : the reason I choose Manjaro was because I heard that it have very beautiful UI and it’s highly customizable and lightweight.
Is there any other distros that have same properties?
And good for beginners?

Yes, that will work too, but then you cannot use ventoy. You’ll need to use some other way to create the DVD, such as — if it still exists; it’s what Windows-using people at Usenet were talking about — Nero Burning ROM, which is a Windows program.

It all depends on which user interface you choose. Plasma is highly customizable, GNOME not so much, and Xfce sits somewhere in between. If it has to be lightweight, then Xfce wins.

The theming is however up to your own preferences. Manjaro does include its own themes for each of the official releases, but you can choose a different theme if you so like.

There are a couple. Check out distrowatch.com.

Yes, you can. Here’s the one that Windows users seem to recommend — I don’t use Windows, so I have no experience with it.

Be sure to burn the ISO as a filesystem image, not as a file that you put on the optical disk.
