Since - I suspect either this update [Stable Update] 2021-10-16 - Haskell, Python, KDE Gear, KDE Framework, Thunderbird - #2 by philm or [Stable Update] 2021-11-19 - Kernels, Gnome 41.1, Plasma 5.23.3, Frameworks 5.88, LxQt 1.0, Xorg-Server 21.1, Mesa - #379 - the media-keys (play/pause, skip, prev) of my bluetooth headset do not work anymore. I even have other bluetooth issues like devices need to switch off/on to get recognized after a fresh boot to get recognized; bluetooth dead after standby) - but the media-keys boggle me the most.
This used to work with “mpris-proxy” service. The service still runs and shows no signs of error, but still it does simply not work anymore.
I hoped that some update would fix this, but still in 2022 not working.
I suspect bluez did change something major.
When I start mpris-proxy, it looks fine:
$ mpris-proxy
org.bluez appeared

Anyone else having the same issues?

I just downgraded bluez, bluez-libs and bluez-utils to 5.61. It works not. All I can say is, 5.62 does not work. I don’t know where to to debug bluez.
