In USB Boot.
as you can see, also in live usb the nvidia drivers are not being loaded, they are not available N/A:
Device-2: NVIDIA GK107M [GeForce GT 750M] driver: N/A
so you were always running on intel gpu, and if you had performance issues, it was because you were on intel gpu, and not actually on nvidia
OK, but, why it works on Windows?
it would also work on linux, but these bumblebee drivers are bad… if you had the normal one, that we installed, there is a 50/50 chance that using envycontrol, which failed to install because fo the systemd issue, would work to switch only to nvidia…
so what i suggesting is to reinstall your system, because its messed up, you have this:
and these:
so backup your data and do a fresh install… then we can try to switch to only nvidia…
OK, but… please…
Tell me how to do a fresh install in order not to erase the home partition, only root.
I have dedicate this: /, uefi, swap, home… Can I start a fresh partition only on /?
do you have separate partition for your home?
post output:
lsblk -f
Yes, the command not in chroot gives me this
~ lsblk -f ✔

I think is better this way in order to install root as a clean install and not touch home.
Can you guide me on this clean install?
you just select manual partitioning in the install options, then you bound it to your home partition, and DONT FORMAT THE HOME PARTITION… do a backup of your data too…
here is more info:
but i would just back up my data from my current home partition and do a fresh install…
I have one SSD GB dedicated only to Manjaro.
Can’t go with clean installation and mantain home, so, I run a manual partition with same parameters and I’m updating now.
Can you tell me how to go with clean installation without partitioning again?
I tell you when it finish to update.
@brahma OK, now I’m in a clean installation all updated.
Can you guide me in order to check and install propietary nvidia drivers?
in the link above there it is explained that you have to use manual partitioning and not format the home partition… but i never reinstalled system like that so really cant help you out on this, but you can search the forum on guides…
so check again with:
inxi -G && mhwd -li

so now you are on open source drivers, so lets try with the envycontrol, but you will very likely end up with a black screen…
install the non bumblebee drivers:
sudo mhwd -i pci video-nvidia-390xx
install envycontrol:
pamac build envycontrol
then run this:
sudo envycontrol -s nvidia
it will prompt you for reboot so do it, and finger crossed
Stuck on plasma, can’t enter.
Now in chroot.
