Kernel 5.11 and 5.12 low cpu clock in games

The kernels 5.11 and 5.12 are limiting my clock in games, with kernel 5.4 and 5.10 the clock is always over 3 ghz while gaming, in 5.11 and 5.12 it’s just slightly over 2 ghz.

Thanks for the update! With Kernel 5.8.0-2 my system seems to be only running at it’s minimum clock of 800mhz. If more information on this is need, please let me know what and where to provide it correctly. If someone is having issues with reinstalling GRUB on their EFI system, don’t pull a Beerfoo and make sure you also boot your USB device in EFI mode I suppose it should go without saying, but perhaps it would be worth mentioning on the wiki. Once that was out of the way…

To me the issue only happens in games, if i run cpupower frequency-info my cpu clock is always near max which is 3.90 ghz, but in games it’s slightly over 2 ghz.

No, temperatures are fine and there’s no difference between kernels, the temp is always below 80 celsius.

I am using 5.10, there’s no difference between them when running cpupower frequency-info, the cpu is always running over 3 ghz, except in games, in games my cpu clock is lower than usual, this issue doesn’t happen with kernel 5.10,

I’ve got some news, i checked out CPU-X and it seems that those kernels are limiting my cpu clock to 1.8 ghz.
