Kdenlive dependency knotifyconfig conflicts with default notifications

Recently a couple of things on my laptop stopped working; brightness and volume controls freeze/delay and only respond after a minute and the usual notification I get doesn’t activate. Flameshot, the screenshot program I use, freezes as well and won’t copypaste. I think this has to do with my notification service because when checking the logs, I get errors that mention a timeout, but I’m not sure what is causing it. I did not have this issue around a week ago (not sure what started it).

Checking journalctl -g notif yields messages like this:

session uid=1000 pid=1095] Activated service ‘org.freedesktop.Notifications’ failed: Process org.freedesktop.Notifications exited with status 1
session uid=1000 pid=1095] Activating service name=‘org.freedesktop.Notifications’ requested by ‘:1.4’ (uid=1000 pid=1114 comm="xfce4-power-manager “)

session uid=1000 pid=1095] Activating service name=‘org.freedesktop.Notifications’ requested by ‘:1.79’ (uid=1000 pid=9416 comm=”/usr/bin/flameshot ")

The only notification service is have is:

>find /usr/share/dbus-1/services/ -name '*Notif*'
/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.kde.plasma.Notifications.service

If someone could work this through with me I’d greatly appreciate it.

How to increase your chances of solving your issue:

Please provide Information:

Hi, I thought mentioning my system and giving logs were enough, but I’ve tried provided more context based on those links. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can provide.

I’ve fixed the issue. As suspected, there was a conflict between kde and whatever notification service came with i3manjaro, I went to /usr/share/dbus-1/services/ and renamed org.kde.plasma.Notifications.service to something else for now as a backup. Rebooted and problem was gone; leaving this here in case someone else runs into this issue.
