Everything that has happened in this older post is happening to me right now:
The checkbox to enable wifi and airplane mode from the network tab completely disappeared for me in kde. I upgraded kernel from 5.10 to 5.11 but that didn’t fix the issue.
The last time I used the wifi - I turned it off and then tried turning it on after about 10 seconds, which caused the UI to freeze for a few seconds and the wifi showed some error notification “Wireless Interface - The wifi network could not be found” (I think this was the error but I cant remember for certain). I was unable…
However, the solution that this user has found is not working for me, since my Acer Swift SF514-54T doesnt have the BIOS option to enable/disable wireless, so I’m at a loss.
Please help if there’s anything you know about this issue. Thank you all

what’s the actual status ? a new update for stable has been released today, are you on stable and already updated ?
please post the basic infos of
inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --width
use the option of preformatted text and paste the infos inside it
sadly I cant copy and paste because I cant connect to the internet at all on my laptop, but my Kernel is
Kernel: 5.15.94-1-MANJARO arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 12.2.1
my desktop is:
Desktop: KDE Plasma v: 5.26.5 tk: Qt v: 5.15.8
If you need any other info, please lmk.
That system has obviously not been updated in a long time. We’ve been on Plasma 5.27.4 for a month now — from the 2023-04-11 update on, to be precise.
You’ll have to use a chroot
from the live USB to update your system. Manjaro is a (curated) rolling-release distro and you are supposed to keep it updated. You cannot expect us to offer support for an outdated installation.

do you have access via a wired ethernet? you’ll need it to download a actual live-iso and either chroot your system and update it afterwards or do a new install.
as @Aragorn explained if you don’t update a rolling release regulary and the system is too long outdated you’ll run in pitty problems

even after a fresh install of the latest manjaro update provided by the website, the problem still remains, no WiFi or Airplane mode.
I’m at a loss, I have no clue what could be causing this at all, system is now fully up-to-date.

okay if your up-to-date we can look further. please provide the full output of the command below that we can see what hardware is running

well your wifi-hardware is not physical detected. please check the following first:
1.) a lot of laptops do have a physical switch to turn wifi on/off. please check if there is one existing and it is turned on.
2.) other laptops do have a function-key combination to turn on/off wifi. please check this also. maybe you need to take a look to the manual of your laptop to find this.
my laptop does have a FN combo however it does nothing, tested the commands you gave me witht the combo pressed and its the same results.
this might be because the actual wifi reciever is damaged in some way, but i doubt that, this laptop is in pretty good condition despit being a couple years old

another pitty might be the firmware. try
sudo pacman -S linux-firmware
reboot and check if there are changes
apparently database file for core, extra, community, multilib doesnt exist, and “linux-firmware” isn’t found…
