Differences in the Editions

Hi,

I have a general question about the Editions.
For example, Manjaro Plasma is maintained by the Manjaro Team and Manjaro Cinnamon is maintained by the Community.

My question is, what exactly is being maintained. Does it mean that the Cinnamon-Community-Edition will also get all the “normal” application, security, etc. updates from the Manjaro Team except for the desktop environment (in this example Cinnamon updates only from the Community)?
Or are there any other differences?

Official and community editions

I have been wondering about the differences between official and community editions, are there any downsides to using community editions? Are they well maintained and up to date? I’m in kde for now but i have been wondering about openbox and i3, the only thing i don’t like about kde is the compositing because it’s a bit of a performance hit and i get screen tearing if i disable the compositor.

I don't understand how manjaro community editions works

I want a a window tiling manager like I3, the but I’m don’t understand well the community editions. What’s the difference exactly is it the updates late or the instability or the packages old? And is there any downsides? If someone can help, I’ll be grateful.
