am very new to Manjaro and new to linux on the whole. I have recently installend the KDE manjaro and for some reason I need to run startx everry time i boot. The installation went fine with no errors and Iam only shown cli like command interface at boot.
I am running an 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 and GeForce MX450, I am also dual booting with windows. My kernel is Linux 5.15.84-1 and Manjaro 22.0.0, i am also running with the propietary driver for my gpu.
If you require any further information please let me know and also how I can provide it.
Thank You.

provide system info, and use formatting, click this icon in editor: </>, and copy the following output there:
inxi -Fazv7
mhwd -l -li
and after you installed, the first time you booted, it worked? or it started to happen later?
Since this is posted under the Kde Plasma section, I’m going to presume that’s what you’re using.
Please provide the output of:
systemctl status sddm
Tip:
When posting terminal output, copy the output and paste it here, wrapped in three (3) backticks, before AND after the pasted text. Like this:
```
pasted text
```
This will just cause it to be rendered like this:
Sed
sollicitudin dolor
eget nisl elit id
condimentum
arcu erat varius
cursus sem quis eros.
Instead of like this:
Sed sollicitudin dolor eget nisl elit id condimentum arcu erat varius cursus sem quis eros.
Alternatively , paste the text you wish to format as terminal output, select all pasted text, and click the </> button on the taskbar. This will indent the whole pasted section with one TAB , causing it to render the same way as described above.
Thereby increasing legibility thus making it easier for those trying to provide assistance.
For more information, please see:
Also , if your language isn’t English, please prepend any and all terminal commands with LC_ALL=C
. For example:
LC_ALL=C bluetoothctl
This will just cause the terminal output to be in English, making it easier to understand and debug.
inxi -Fazv7
