Hi @johanventa, and welcome!

In order for us, or anyone for that matter, to be able to provide assistance, more information is necessary. To that end, please see:

Hope you manage!

Tip:

To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:

```
pasted text
```

This will just cause it to be rendered like this:

Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.

Instead of like this:

Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.

Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.

Please edit your post accordingly.

ok now it should be fixed

Hi @johanventa,

I can’t spot anything in your provided inxi output regarding a webcam. And if it was there, it should’ve listed but without a driver. So that makes me think it’s somehow disabled in the BIOS/UEFI. I also know most, if not all laptops provide a key combination to enable/disable the webcam from the keyboard. So double-check that as well.

Did you check this Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 10) - ArchWiki ?

I found the camera in IO devices in bios and it was activated(in the sense that the port was open to it) and i checked so that no keyboard thing was desabeling it.

yes, it didin’t have any info which helped

What exactly from this wiki was not helpful?

So, what model of the camera your laptop has? If the MIPI model, then how would we know more about that webcam in linux than the Lenovo staff involved in the discussion from the linked Lenovo forum?
