My system keeps freezing randomly

My manjaro install keeps freezing randomly. Sometimes it does it while i am using firefox, sometimes when using other programs. I have a dual boot system and dont have any of those problems in windows, and before using manjaro in this partition I was using mint cinnamon without any issues.

Here is the current state of inti -Fxz

you are running out of ram… 4gb of ram is really nothing… either:
upgrade your ram;
or set up swap - i dont have swap so you have to look it up on how to do it…
disable baloo: system settings/ file search and uncheck all options, click apply

I have 32GB RAM in my computer and a swap partition of 32 GB.

Hi @Vladimirovski, and welcome!

In order for us, or anyone for that matter, to be able to provide assistance, more information is necessary. To that end, please see:

Hope you manage!

:bangbang: Tip: :bangbang:

To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:

```
pasted text
```

Or three (3) tilde signs, like this:

~~~
pasted text
~~~

This will just cause it to be rendered like this:

Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.

Instead of like this:

Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.

Alternatively, paste the text you wish to format as terminal output, select all pasted text, and click the </> button on the taskbar. This will indent the whole pasted section with one TAB, causing it to render the same way as described above.

Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.

:bangbang::bangbang: Additionally

If your language isn’t English, please prepend any and all terminal commands with LC_ALL=C. For example:

LC_ALL=C bluetoothctl

This will just cause the terminal output to be in English, making it easier to understand and debug.

Please edit your post accordingly. # Hi @, and welcome!

Please also provide the output of:

journalctl --boot=-1 --priority=4 --no-pager

Where:

  • --boot=-1 limits the messages to show to the previous boot’s. Adjust this as neccessary to limit to the last boot you had hanging, -1 for the previous boot, -2 for the one before that, and so on and so forth;
  • --priority=4 limits the output to be errors and warning only;
  • --no-pager eliminates it of being scrollable with the up/down arrows, making it suitable for copy-and-paste to the forum.

Hope you manage!
