I assume that this package needs updated.
I tried to use it and found out mysql isn’t found.
Then I tried to use the control panel and it didn’t launch due to a python2 error.
Well we are at python3.10 now and that is probably the issue.
This is beyond my knowledge to make work.
Should I give up on using xampp.
I just wanted a small testing environment and didn’t want to install a full web server.

Use the guide linked by @stephane - at least you get a working LAMP albeit not with the tools and not with FTP.
If you is really hooked on xampp you could build python2 from AUR
pamac build python2
