I have tried several instances of linux builds to run from my usb stick. Installed as an OS
Ive tried :
popOS latest
Manajaro KDE 24.0.3 latest
Linux mint latest
Popos and linux mint on boot have the wireless drivers working but even on the live boot of manajaro i cannot get the wifi drivers to work
I have read this and several other forums. It seems i need marvell drivers (surfacepro 3) i5 4th gen. And since i am new to using linux commands i am nervous. There are no guides to install this? Ive swapped the kernel from stock to the stable recommended to see if it works. But didnt. Popos and mint came.with 5.1 kernel. I thought this could be the culprit. But i moved to the "recommended’ 6.1 kernel which didnt work. Do kernel updates carry forward previous updates because this didnt seem so. What i meant was if 5.1 had the issue fixed, the why wouldnt 6.1 have the same fix? Confusing. Anyway. Next to try is to see if installing marvell will work.
Of the 3 builds i mentioned i am glad that manjaro boots fastest. no lags… no feeling at all that i am running from a USB stick and the installation is well guided and informed. Thanks developer team for this awesome work.
Back to the point. Can some one guide me on this…becauae after rigorous testing i realy want mangaro kde.
