Hello,
I’m not really new to Linux but I am new to Arch-based Distros.
I have a mouse (Roccat Burst Pro) that i use with my laptop (HP Spectre x360). For some reason, having the mouse plugged in stops the OS from booting, it just sits on a black screen and turns off the mouse. Turning off the laptop and unplugging the mouse, then turning the laptop back on fixes the problem. This also happens with restarts.
However, on boot I can get into the UEFI and manually boot into Manjaro with no problems (with the mouse plugged in).
I don’t have any other OS installed and I used the “erase disk” option at install. The system is formatted with BTRFS and secure boot is disabled if that helps.

Welcome to Manjaro!
Please read this:
How to provide good information
and give us more information so we can see what’s really going on.
Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…
An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width
would be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text .
A journalctl output of a failed boot would be helpful as well:
Insert the mouse
Restart the machine
Wait for the mouse to turn off
Wait some more (5 minutes)
If still a black screen: REISUB
Post the output of:
journalctl --system --boot=-1 --priority=warning
If you would not get a black screen, just let us know, don’t provide any output
P.S. If you enter a bit more details in your profile, we can also see which Desktop Environment you’re using, which exact CPU/GPU or Kernel, … you have without typing it every time

The REISUB didn’t do anything

With the mouse unplugged, REISUB works fine.

That sounds like an UEFI firmware issue:
Try to look on your manufacturer’s or AMI’s website and see if there is an UEFI firmware update and try again with the mouse.
Then report back, please?
Ok, i’ll have a look
Someone is saying they are self-extracting archives that are Windows only
There is a “Windows Boot Manager” in the UEFI since this laptop came with windows (Idk why it’s still there though), maybe the mouse is trying to do something with that?
A self-extracting archive is a normal archive, with an additional exefile copied to the start of it. Therefore it is often possible to extract the archive without the included exe.
One way may be to rename the archive back to its original extension (.zip or .gz or …)

I have found it, had to look on a windows machine for it to show up (I’m stupid)
They have given me a .sig and a .bin, what do i do with those?
Might just have to learn how to dual boot windows actually.
Thank you for your time
