Will not boot after upgrade

I have the official KDE release installed. I recently moved and so my computer was offline for a little over a month. I recently booted it up and was trying to do an upgrade via the GUI and I was getting the error:

“Invalid or corrupted database”

It was erroring out on the Extras repo with Megasync. I uninstalled Mega Sync. I was able to updgrade
Upon reboot machine does not progress past the vendor splash screen. I have to switch to console. I was able to run a timeshift restore to roll it back. Every time I do the upgrade the same issue happens.

I’ve been doing some research which is why I’ve progressed to where I’m at now and now I need help.

Here’s what I’m running into now on the command line:

sudo pacman -Syyu

Send help!

Thanks in advance!

Please make a habit to read the announcements, at least the wiki part:

You always have to replace packages in the updates if that is suggested.

Thanks! That worked and I will keep up to date on that. My other issue was a non-supported Kernel 5.11. I was able to finally upgrade and boot!
