the update seems to have gone successfully btw

Please don’t post images of text. Instead follow the below advice:

:bangbang: Tip :bangbang:

When posting terminal output, copy the output and paste it here, wrapped in three (3) backticks, before AND after the pasted text. Like this:

```
pasted text
```

Or three (3) tilde signs, like this:

~~~
pasted text
~~~

This will just cause it to be rendered like this:

Sed
sollicitudin dolor
eget nisl elit id
condimentum
arcu erat varius
cursus sem quis eros.

Instead of like this:

Sed sollicitudin dolor eget nisl elit id condimentum arcu erat varius cursus sem quis eros.

Alternatively, paste the text you wish to format as terminal output, select all pasted text, and click the </> button on the taskbar. This will indent the whole pasted section with one TAB, causing it to render the same way as described above.

Thereby increasing legibility thus making it easier for those trying to provide assistance.

For more information, please see:

As I’m a moderator on the forum, I have taken the liberty of doing this for you, this time.

:bangbang::bangbang: Additionally

If your language isn’t English, please prepend any and all terminal commands with LC_ALL=C. For example:

LC_ALL=C bluetoothctl

This will just cause the terminal output to be in English, making it easier to understand and debug.

Note that the above text is partially pre-prepared as a general introduction for new forum Users. Please take the time to to understand how it is done and encourage quality responses.

I’ve removed the image, so please update your post with the information.

I’m hopefully stating the obvious here when I say that doesn’t mean much. What was the other output?

Always provide the entire output so others can see the context associated with whatever you happen to be focused on.

…is rarely enough to work with.

Please provide system information as described (below).

It’s good practice to adopt a habit of providing system information with every Support topic you create - before we have to ask for it.

Regards.

System Information

While information from *-fetch type apps might be fine for someone wishing to buy your computer, for Support purposes it’s better to ask your system directly; :eyes:

Output of the inxi command with appropriate parameters will achieve this (naturally, formatted according to forum guidelines) and will generally be more useful for those wishing to help:

inxi --filter --verbosity=8

or the short form:

inxi -zv8

It was provided. In an image. So I removed it, and put a notice up. I’m guessing @OP hasn’t seen it yet.

You didn’t say what the image was. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
now they have two reminders. :smile_cat:

I’m on unstable branch and apparently saw something similar:

I am also on unstable, I had put up a pic of the same issue. When I ran sudo pacman -Syu, even though my updates seems to have gone fine, the total number of packages shown during the downloads progress was different. The actual number of packages i had to download was 13, but the output showed something like 140235... though the update seems to have gone fine.

below is the output from sudo pacman -Syu that i got just now.
