Greets! Long time XUbuntu user who recently switched to Manjaro XFCE for a new build about 8 months ago. Like to play around with programming languages and sometimes do some Blendering.

Hi!
I’m a computer systems engineer from México, with over 20 years of experience.
After the distro jump craze I landed in Manjaro about 8 years ago, now this is my distro of choice.
I try to keep an eye on tech and gaming, but most of my free time goes to welding and biking.

Hello my name is Hei, I am a computer science student in my senior year. I am currently working on a compiler for a class project.I am an average Linux user. I switched to Manjaro because I started to read the book Manjaro Linux User Guide. I absolutely love Manjaro with my KDE environment! I look forward to interacting with you all in the community.

Hello! I’ve just returned to using Linux after a 14 year or so hiatus. Not completely new but pretty basic terminal skills. I started with Fedora and now on Manjaro. I like both so i’m giving them both a chance to decide my regular distro. I’ve not cared for Debian or its derivatives.

A lot has changed since my last time using Linux, for the better. I’m looking forward to exploring Manjaro further. So far, so good.

A warm welcome to the Manjaro Community!

It seems you have been using Manjaro for some time now and it is good that you have looked here to find the answers you need.

It is always a good idea to watch the Update Announcements for the branch you are using.

Hello everyone I am Poxoseu an ordinary Chinese student. I love computer related technology, but I’m just a novice who knows the basics of computer operation and basic knowledge. My friend suggested me to switch from Windows to Linux to help me to learn computer related technology. Since I am a Windows user, I want to choose an IDE that is easy to switch from Linux to Windows development environment so that I don’t have to use two IDEs.

Greetings, completely new to Manjaro, been messing around with it for a few days, lots of things I don’t understand and I am also quite dumb. Decided to check in here in case I continue to mess up. Happy to be here. Cheers.

Try code, from the repository. It’s similar to Microsoft’s Visual Studio Code, but it’s all Free & Open Source.

Take a look around in our Tutorials section.

Brian from the US. I’m utilizing BigLinux, so I’ve come to think of it as a curated Manjaro. So far, everything is great and works well.
I’ve used a lot of different distros in my linux journey and this is what works well for me. Thanks to the devs for a great distro!!

Welcome. I think, this journey made many here.
I have tested in the last years almost all well known distributions. But at the end i am always coming back to Manjaro

Also, take a look at many of the Support requests, and you’ll realise you’re probably not as dumb as you might think you are. :smile_cat:

Hello everyone, my name is Andreas from Germany.
I’ve been using Linux for 20 years, and for the last 5 years, exclusively Arch-based distros with KDE DEs.
Garuda Linux KDE Lite and CachyOS are my daily drivers.
Now I finally want to install the OS that others have always warned me about

EDIT

Conclusion: If you’re looking for a user-friendly distribution but are afraid of using the terminal, Manjaro is the right choice.

It’s also worth mentioning the modern file system, which allows users to restore a broken system directly from the Grub menu.

For a potential new user, learning the basics of Arch, browsing this great forum, and reading the wiki would be beneficial.

If you mean Manjaro, I ask what you have been warned about?
