BUT: switch to the default theme. Or Horizon. The manjaro theme is broken!
A little bit of confusion was, at least for me, the “new” item now seems to include everything, and it shows a submenu for what was earlier “new topics” and “unread posts in old topics”.
A nice sideffect: the issue with copying code is finally fixed.

I hope they bring back a more compact list view. The amount of scrolling required now on desktop is obscene, anti-user.
It’s apparently theme-related, but indeed, it’s not exactly user-friendly. I don’t like it either.

You can change the look via Interface - Preferences - Manjaro Linux Forum.
I’ve actually set mine back to the Manjaro theme. firefox doesn’t seem to have any display issues with it. None of the other themes I tried were notifying of new posts/topics on the Latest topics - Manjaro Linux Forum page, so I went back to the theme I like the most - Manjaro.
The manjaro theme is partly broken. If something doesn’t work - switch it.
What is broken? I haven’t noticed anything, at least with Firefox.

Forum Default dark theme is inaccessible - no Color mode options in header or interface settings
Changing the Dark Mode colour palette to Clover Dark does make the Color Mode options visible again in Interface settings
But if I change it back to Theme default, both the Color Mode options and dark theme vanish:
Is this possibly caused by both Theme default colour palettes having the same name?
If so, could these colour palettes be re-named to Default and Default Dark, similar to other palettes and themes?
The Default theme has been removed. It was created years ago as a test and I forgot about it.
“Horizon+ Clover dark+ dark” combo looks very nice in my opinion. And has nice contrast for those of us who do not see so well.
I choose Material Design, save the theme and when I logout and return, my interface is Horizon. Frustrating.
Edit: My vision isn’t what it it used to be. I didn’t see the checkbox “make this the default theme on all devices”. Once checked, my chosen theme “sticks”.
