USB sound device not detected

I am rather new to Manjaro, but, have used other distros for many years.

On the machine in question, I am running live from a USB stick. ISO is 21.2

lsusb shows the audio device in question, but neither I don’t see it as an option in when running basic sound (i.e.alsa/pulse) or when I have JACK running.

Is it possible this is just a permissions thing because I’m running live and not installed?

Or have I missed some install step.

I have another machine running Manjaro with a firewire audio device and Have no problems finding it, but the distro is installed not live.

Not really sure where to go next.

Moot issue, I went on and installed it and the usb device is seen.
