USB ports broken for 2 months

I’m having a repeat of my issue from March: I’m on a Thinkpad X13 running KDE Plasma. All my USB devices have stopped working on any of my USB ports. The lights on the devices don’t come on. My devices work when plugged into other machines. sudo udevadm monitor shows no output when I plug in a device. No pending updates. Here is the output of inxi:

$ inxi -zv8

you should update your UEFI laptop

Have you tried a live ISO boot? If this happens, too then you either have a firmware or hardware issue.

Thank you both! Upgrading firmware fixed it. I’d forgotten firmware exists.
