I bought this usb-c to ethernet adaptor
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabit-1000Mbps-Ethernet-Adapter-Network/dp/B00LLUEJFU/ref=sr_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=ugreen+adapter&qid=1618917509&sr=8-16
I installed the AX88179 driver from AUR but I still can’t get connectivity.
I get this in my journal:
usb 2-1: device not accepting address 18, error -71
usb usb2-port1: unable to enumerate USB device
Any idea how to fix that?
I have a USB 3 Ethernet adapter that uses AX88179 and I did not have to install any driver for it as it was included in the kernel (as of kernel 3.9). That (Plugable brand) adapter works flawlessly. I have two other Trendnet brand adapters (Asix AX88179)that work flawlessly. An inxi output might help here in diagnosing and fixing the issue.
