I’m trying to update Manjaro with my usual yay -Syu
but it’s continually hitting a dependency issue here:
:: Replace dbus-python with extra/python-dbus? [Y/n] n
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing icu (75.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicui18n.so=74-64' required by electron25
:: installing icu (75.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicuuc.so=74-64' required by electron25
-> error installing repo packages
I’ve tried both Y/n for the dbus-python
replacement
Remove electron25
before. You have an AUR package installed that requires this.
And use the search function:
Im on
x86_64
Manjaro Linux
DISTRIB_ID=“ManjaroLinux”
DISTRIB_RELEASE=“24.0.0”
When I do
sudo pacman -Syu UK
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing icu (75.1-1) breaks dependency 'libicui18n.so=74-64' required by electron25
How do I fix?
You must rebuild or remove this 3rd party package.

Not necessarily.
Ah, I see. There are many different electrons actually in the repos. I only know these packages with the version number only from the AUR (e.g. python). Thanks for the explanation.
