(1/3) upgrading geoclue
warning: directory permissions differ on /usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d/
filesystem: 750 package: 755

is this adviseable

Seems only geoclue thinks the permissions should be 755 but other packages for that directory do not. I’m going to leave the permissions at 750 unless the manjaro team advises us to change it.

pacman -Qo /usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d
/usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d/ is owned by flatpak 1.12.6-1
/usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d/ is owned by fwupd 1.7.5-1
/usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d/ is owned by geoclue 2.6.0-1
/usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d/ is owned by polkit 0.120-4
/usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d/ is owned by systemd 250.3-4

installing qt5-base (5.15.3+kde+r132-1) breaks dependency 'qt5-base<5.15.3' required by manjaro-settings-manager

The error message indicates manjaro-settings-mananger needs a rebuild. Just wait a while…

I didn’t see no error on update, but after reboot, no sddm window.
The mouse is there and I couldn’t change to another tty.
All black with a mouse. ctrl+alt+f2, ctrl+alt+f3,… and nothing.

yeah that must have been the time where qt-base was on version < 5.15.3
That broke my lockscreen and sddm but i reverted the update before rebooting
Were you able to fix it?

No, I couldn’t get another tty. How to boot in to a text mode without sddm?

maybe a way to fix is to boot from live media and chroot to your systems drive, try to fix the dependencies by switching f.e. on testing branch - not sure though if it works like that

Ok, with manjaro-chroot on a live media I was able to complete the update. Now I can see sddm.
