Unable to Access BIOS and Boot Media or Grub Boot Menu

I have an older Clevo Notebook Model W54_W94_W955TU,-T,-C. I am now unable to access the BIOS etc, as stated in the Topic Title.

The last time I know I could do this was when I switched to Kernel 6.12.x not long after it was announced it was the LTR version.

I tried the solution from Suddenly cannot enter BIOS, Boot Menu

sudo grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi bootloader-id=Manjaro --recheck

But I am getting the following error

Installing for x86_64-efi platform.
Could not prepare Boot variable: Input/output error
grub-install: error: efibootmgr failed to register the boot entry: Input/output error.

The machine boots without issues,.
