First of all, thank you for responding so fast! I’m sorry it took me awhile to post the information; I had a little trouble figuring out how to format the from the terminal so I didn’t get rejected for having a link 
Anyway, I entered the command you indicated, then restarted and unfortunately no luck. The displays still are not recognized, or indicated in the System Settings - Displays & Monitor.
Not sure what to do next.
Also, I unplugged and plugged in the device again.
