I have the problem described in this post. However, I have cleaned the touchpad several times (the solution in the post), but it doesn’t work. It consistenly only works with the extra finger: 2 fingers to move and 3 to scroll.
How can I debug this? Any idea?
maybe the error is on the software side.
are you using gnome or kde? an inxi --verbosity=8 --filter
could be helpful.
can you try to start a live-linux from a usb-stick (preferably a fresh manjaro version) and see how it behaves there.
I’m using Gnome. I will download and run it using USB and report back.

I am guessing - but It could be this extension causing the issue.
Well, I have just disconnect my laptop from the power supply, suspend it and open it back, and it now works

I’d be inclined to plug in another touchpad first - if I didn’t (and I don’t) have one lying around, I’d drag my ass down to the local jib hardware shop and ask if I could quickly test one of theirs.
My TV currently has an issue which persists for between 5 seconds and 20 minutes of startup - not sure what, could be a dodgy connection or failing component that needs to settle down to an ambient temperature to resume normal operation.
