System is slowly depreciating over my restarts

My setup takes forever to restart, and it has several issues now. It worked perfectly half a month ago, but it started having several issues after I tried to make a new activity in the activities tab of the system settings. I use a usb internet stick for my internet, so reinstalling requires me to have a usb installation of the driver for it.

Issues include:

  • Dolphin file manager is super slow, and deleting things can sometimes crash it altogether.

  • Putting things on my desktop doesn’t actually put them there until I reset, although I can see them in the dolphin desktop folder.

  • Steam games don’t launch through proton at all.

  • My system settings crashed after returning a page’s settings to default.

Things I’ve tried:

  • Reinstalling the manjaro-plasma-settings module

  • setting all system settings to default
