System doesn't boot after kernel update

Hi!
An update arrived for kernels 6.3 and 6.1(lts), after which the system stopped booting normally with these kernels. While switched to 6.2.
Boot log on 6.3:

journalctl -b-1 -p4 --no-pager

Welcome to Manjaro! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

  1. Please read the information behind this link. It will help you to post necessary information.
  1. Please press the three dots below your post and then press the :pencil2:
  • If you give us information about your system, we can see what we’re talking about and make better suggestions.
  • You can do this by using inxi in a terminal or in console.
sudo inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width
  • Personally identifiable information such as serial numbers and MAC addresses are filtered out by this command
  • Presenting the information in this way allows everyone to be familiar with the format and quickly find the items they need without missing anything.
  1. Copy the output from inxi (including the command) and paste it into your post.
  • To make it more readable, add 3 backticks ``` on an extra line before and after the pasted text.

Have you already searched for your problem in the forum ? (Wisdom lies in reading  )

Hello.
I added information.

In general, I studied the log more closely. The problem is in the ucsi_acpi module, I added it to the blacklist and everything worked.
But I don’t think it’s normal. What is this module for?

usb type-c support, ACPI = some sort of autoconfiguration issue for it?

I need usb type-c(
the problem is that kernel 6.1, 6.3, 6.4 are not loaded with this module, 6.2 and 5.15 are loaded.
I attached the log in the first post.

can you try booting without any usb-c devices attached and see if it works?

The issue manifests itself without connected devices.
the log in the first post was taken without connected devices.

Maybe manjaro team can chime in and tell if there was anything special in kernel 6.2 config, otherwise it seems you need to take the issue upstream.

The problem appeared after a recent kernel update. before that everything was working correctly.

which kernels do you know it worked on before?

edit: the reason it works on 6.2 might be that it was not updated, as it is EOL?

5.15, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3
I used 6.3 when the problem appeared

It’s working for 5.15 too.

did 5.15 get updated at same time when the other ones stopped working?

no, a little later. but 5.15 was also updated

if my suspicion is correct that 6.2 has not been updated due to being EOL, and therefore works, then there is some issue with modern kernel point releases on your system (unless manjaro did some config changes, which i doubt). From what i can see, you need to take the issue to kernel.org

but you might want to wait for a second opinion.

*upd
type-c works correctly with the module disabled.

yeah i would think acpi relates to power management or similar
