I’ve been using manjaro gnome for a few month and it works almost perfeclty because i’m facing this issue randomly:
Suddenly, the icons in dash disappear even if it keeps displaying the running indicator, like this:
Mod edit:- Please avoid posting unnecessary images.
I’m using dash to panel, but it also happens with the regular dock without the extension.
Also when this happens, i can no longer open apps, in fact, if i try to open the apps that running, they close immediately and i’m not able to open new apps, it keeps displaying the desktop environment but it is useless.
If i leave the pc alone for a few minutes, the screen turns black and does nothing(neither shuts down nor restarts) and if i quick press the power button it shows this:
Mod edit:- Please avoid posting images of textual content when a brief description will suffice. Transposing the information to text and posting in a preformatted text box is also an option. Like this;
?? [1841]: (msg) caught signal, shutting down...
??" [1841]: (msg) ModemManager is shut down
??-generate-shutdown-ramfs.service: Unable to locate executable '/ust/bin/mkinitcpio': Input/output error
??-generate-shutdown-ramfs.service: Failed at step EXEC spawning /ust/bin/mkinitcpio: Input/output error
?? Failed to start Generate shutdown-ramfs.
?? Failed to start Show Plymouth Power Off Screen
?? Failed unmounting /boot/efi.
?? Failed unmounting /home.
?? Failed unmounting /tmp.
?? Failed unmounting /run/user/1000/gvfs.
?? Failed unmounting /var/cache.
?? Failed unmounting /var/log.
?? Failed unmounting /run/user/1000.
?? Failed deactivating swap /swap/swapfile.
Now, that information is searchable, and others can copy/paste portions if needed to search for possibly related information.
In future, images may be deleted without warning.
So i have to hold down the power button to turn it off.
