Steinberg UR22 not recognised

Hi, I have a UR22 that used to work flawlessly with Manjaro, but now nothing is happening. It isn’t even recognised as a USB driver or a sound card.

the sound card is only blinking its led.

Hi @dr_fuzz_muff,

Please see

hi, thanks for your answer
I updated my post

the sound card is only blinking its led.

When the interface was working, was the blinking LED always on to show that the USB connection was good ?

If so, try using other available USB sockets on front or rear of system and try a different USB cable

Well, I’m big idiot, either the cable was dead or the USB plug is no good (but it works with other devices).
Could the soundcard be associated with a USB port ?

A USB audio interface should be detected in any USB port, but may not work optimally if it has to share a USB connection with other devices

Considering there are 3 devices detected sharing USB hub 2 (Cherry keyboard, Sunplus mouse and Realtek card reader) you should try to use a USB socket connected to hub 1 with audio interface

sudo echo "options snd slots=snd_usb_audio" > /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
