Steam will not run (new-ish user)

UPDATE AND POSSIBLE SOLUTION:

Thank you for tuning into my rant. I have no idea how this works, but I uninstalled steam, uninstalled xdg-desktop-portal-gtk, and reinstalled steam with xdg-desktop-portal-kde (I am sure this is hackey).

Steam was working like magic since I started using manjaro. Unfortunately, I cannot pinpoint exactly what led up to steam not working, as I have recently been in the process of moving. As for this fix I do not know if I have created more problems for myself, but it opens now, and is running games like Kerbal Soace Program just fine!
