Hello,
I’ve updated the Manjaro to the current stable update. After upgrading manually Python and his packages and dependent programs after the complete update, the Firefox (official repository package version 114.0.1-1) and Telegram Desktop (official repository package version 4.8.1-2) is freezing randomly one or two times a day, forcing me to kill the process.

Do have any workarounds to correct this problem?
I’m having issues when connecting and touching my Wacom Intuos Manga pen over the tablet. Gnome Shell freezes and restarts. A few minutes latter, the keyboard stops do respond, and I forced to restarts the whole system.
I managed to extract a log file, but I can’t found the source of the bug.
Hi!
Kicad 7.0.3 was not officially released due to critical bugs (see 7.0.5 announcement on the kicad website).
These bugs render Kicad unusable for me!
Arch already updated to 7.0.5 and it seems testing also contains 7.0.5 already - however, stable uses the “unreleased” 7.0.3. Could that get hot-fixed?
Regards
Johann
Fixed it, completely reset all wifi settings and reinstalled network components.
I’m replying to myself but the reason for the artifacting was a bug in mutter:
Fixed in gtk4
version 4.10.4
, the next update should fix it. I’ve installed it for myself and it made the problem go away.
KiCad update will probably be released with next stable update
To use latest version of KiCad now either switch to Manjaro testing branch; install kicad-git
from AUR or use flatpack package - KiCad | Flathub
Hi everyone,
I have a small graphical glitch under gnome with non gnome apps (GTK4) since the update, usually after resizing, such as with thunar, cantata, etc.
There is also a cursor issue (not showing the right cursor at the right time). I’ve had no problems with slow loading apps (since I am on gnome).
This issue happens under gnome with X or under Wayland, and with different kernels.
Any ideas?
[EDIT]
Solved thanks to @karolyi 's post above. Installed new gtk as well, which did solve the problem.
I fixed the slow startup issue of many apps by uninstalling xdg-desktop-portal-gnome
. I am using manjaro xfce but manually installed i3wm. This also fixed not being able to launch steam.
Seems that this is a problem with mutter 44.1rc. In my post about this problem (Steam games won't lauch (Problem with Mutter)), I posted some links to another articles that show the same issue.
I believe that this can be marked as a issue, even that is not everyone suffering from the same problem.
Any help on this one? I’d like to get this laptop working again. I tried following a guide I had found, booting a live ISO and chrooting into the disk to reinstall GRUB, but in my case the combination of encryption + btrfs filesystem meant the instructions don’t work.
hey @MeLikeyTacos, there is a discussion about chroot / grub / btrfs here, may be useful with a tweak for your luks …
Thank you, I’ll give it a try!
After the update I can’t update any AUR packages through the pamac-gui any more, it gives the message
Cloning youtube-search-python build files...
Generating youtube-search-python information...
Checking youtube-search-python dependencies...
Failed to prepare transaction:
target not found: youtube-search-python

while in cli sudo pamac install package_name
still works fine.
I am not really an expert with pamac, is there something I need to do to get it back to work?
