Sometimes failed to switch monitors

Env

  • laptop with an external monitor via HDMI
  • KDE Plasma
  • Linux 5.10.49

Case

Lid open, using Meta+P to switch monitors betwee laptop-monitor-only mode and external-monitor-only mode quickly, it is always successful.
When in laptop-monitor-only mode for a period like 1 minitue and then switch to external-monitor-only mode, sometimes the external monitor displays “HDMI1” then “HDMI1 no signal” then off, however it display normally again by switching to laptop-monitor-only mode and back quickly.

Question

Any way to sovle it?

  1. Please read this:
    How to provide good information
and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…
  2. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text.

:+1:

P.S. If you enter a bit more details in your profile, we can also see which Desktop Environment you’re using, which CPU/GPU or Kernel, … you have without typing it every time

The command without Personally Identifiable Information is fine.
But I’ve switched to Windows now, maybe I’ll use another computer for manjaro.
Please close the post.

Thanks all the same
