Manjaro the OS itself - rarely has issues - and certainly not with runaway ram.

I use wide variety of equipment - I have never had a memory leak which lead to increased ram usage as you describe.

If you have a memory leak - you have to look at your system configuration and running processes.

It is quite possible you can get a rogue process from a bad theme.

So to eliminate any such thing - you should revert your theme to default - either Breath or Breeze.

Then provide the output (in text format) from command

pacman -Qqm

Perhaps something can be deducted from the output fo

pstree

This problem was happening with my system, I just turned my PC on and 10gb of my RAM memory was being consumed with 0 programs opened. I noticed the problem was the Plasmashell process, I finally gave up trying to solve it and stopped using Plasmashell and started using Liquidshell: https://forum.manjaro.org/t/plasmashell-high-ram-memory-usage/128223/8
